Yolie's Dancers - Premier Ballet School

Hi! My name is Yolanda. I am the founder of Yolie’s Dancers. In addition to being a dance instructor I am an ESL teacher and long time school substitute teacher. With over 20 years of experience teaching dance lessons to children and adults, I have a deep passion for sharing the joy of dance. My journey began as a teenager at the Ballet Academy in Oxnard, CA, where I fell in love with dance. I pursued further dance training at That's Dancin' dance studio in Camarillo, CA, and the Westside School of Ballet in Santa Monica, CA. This passion led me to perform with the Dolores Terry Dance Production Company in Japan. Later, I moved to New York City to study in the Certificate Program at the Alvin Ailey American Theatre. My journey then took me to Italy, where I danced and taught with Blue Shadow Ballet and Associazione Culturale Progetto Danza. Additionally, I had the wonderful opportunity to perform with the Ventura College Musical & Opera Workshop. My experience as a dance teacher has allowed me to work with children and youth through the Conejo Valley Recreation and Park District, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Conejo Valley, and the City of Oxnard Recreation and Community Services. I'm so excited to share my knowledge and experience of dance, dance training, and the performing arts with our youth.
